VW T5 and T6 Double Seat Sliding Swivel Base
Our VW T5 and T6 double seat sliding swivel base also fits T6.1 vans equipped with the factory double passenger seat. This passenger-seat swivel combines a strong sliding mechanism with straightforward operation.
- Designed to meet applicable safety requirements while remaining easy to operate.
- Simply loosen the five locking bolts and slide the seat backwards to rotate it freely, without the complicated operating sequence found on many other swivel bases.
- The double seat swivel base allows the passenger seat to be repositioned towards the living area for cooking or turned to face out through the side sliding door (please see the product images).
- The main structure is made from precision laser-cut 4 mm steel and uses high-tensile steel bolts and a heavy-duty sliding mechanism.
- All metal components are powder-coated in black to match the existing VW seat base.
- The sliding swivel mechanism is completely silent while the vehicle is moving and includes all necessary fixings.
- Installation of the VW T5 and T6 double seat sliding swivel base is available at our workshop by prior arrangement and at an additional cost.
- Each swivel base we supply or install includes a hard copy of the test report issued by the UK Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA).
Please note!
This passenger-seat swivel is not suitable for seats with an integrated airbag in the backrest or built-in occupancy sensors.
To prevent damage to the sliding mechanism, the seat may only be used in its extended position on a solid floor. We recommend 9–12 mm plywood with vinyl or rubber flooring. Please contact us if you are unsure.

Firstly I have no affiliation with mscraft and I generally will not post a review or opinion but I felt I had to. I recently purchased this swivel seat base after reading an article in VWBUS magazine which put me onto mscrafts website. I then viewed their YouTube video and saw how simple their design was to operate and at the point I thought why am I struggling with my current swivel base from another well known manufacturer ( Kira***s), I had no end of swearing trying to operate my previous swivel base in the confines of its space, trying to giggle it passed the handbrake, gouging the B pillar trims etc, etc. I took delivery of the mscraft swivel base three days ago and have had the pleasure of operating it several times over the weekend whilst camping at a festival, what can I say? this product works flawlessly, makes no noise on the go and is genuinely that simple to operate that my eight year old son even had a go……. Highly recommended product that I wish I had bought years ago.

Stumbled across this product (swivel bench base) on the internet and saw how it operated on a YouTube demonstration video. Really liked how this allowed you to slide the seat back and turn, or slide after turning to move in and out of living space. Also makes it possible to swivel my driver captains seat which I have fitted also. Together use as a kinda sofa for the front of the living area in my T5. Really like this product and was simple to install – has increased the living area of the van – just undo and refit 12 bolts after stowing away bench wiring loom (just need a 2nd pair of hands for it’s weight perhaps).

Just fitted this in to our T6 and what a difference it makes to the van seating and usage took about 30 minuets to fit, its built very well, very solid, easy to use and delivery was very quick. so glad we went the extra £20 pound or so over a fixed swivel base, would defiantly recommend this seat base.

I have been converting my T5.1 for a few weeks and have been doing loads of research to choose the best swivel seat option for my double. I decided on the MS CRAFT seat after concerns about ease of use on some of the others available on the market, and I am so pleased I did. On arrival the base was well packaged and in perfect condition with clear instructions and the crash test certificate. The base took no time at all to fit and the finish and attention to detail is simply asstounding. The best bit was yet to come, operation of the seat is so simple and straightforward my 10 year old mastered it in the time it took me to clean up. Although i can’t comment on durability (only been in 2 hours) I am confident of many years of adventures with this product, other manufacturers should be worried this is simply great!!

I viewed a few swivel bases before deciding on this one from mscraft. All I can say is that I chose wisely. Tucking the wiring away took the most time as the base was really easy to fit and the instructions more than sufficient for the job. The base is really well made and robust. Operating is so simple and when the seat is extended into the living space you can see how valuable this base is. If you are looking to fit a swivel base to your can then I would seriously recommend this one. It may be a little more expensive than others and you may have to wait for delivery but it will be well worth it in the long run.

Works a treat.
I’ve double sliding doors on my t5 and this spins to face both sides. Didn’t read the instructions to operate it as it just worked as id hoped
Easy to fit although the instructions don’t say to slide the base forward to bolt down the base.
I’ve never tried another swivel but trusted the reviews and went for this.
No need to move handbrake or move drivers armrest although I did move the drivers seat forward just to see and it was even easier.
100% recommended by me .
I have no links at all to mscraft and I’m just trying to help other people actually buy something that fits and works as it should!

Very good, i had the choice of this one or the one by Kiravans which was the same price i think…this one (MSCRAFT) makes the whole swivel thing so easy, unscrew, pull back, turn it round and push it back… no faffing around or getting stuck.
